3 STEPS To Better Oral Health
Oral Hygiene
At-home oral hygiene is the foundation of a healthy smile. Brushing 2x a day for 2 whole minutes and flossing at least lx helps to keep disease-causing bacteria at bay. Brushing & flossing removes debris from between the teeth preventing the build-up of plaque and tartar. Dr. Hassan recommends blushing more often for fresher breath and cleaner teeth!
Nutrition
What you eat and drink directly impacts on your oral
health. Limit your sugar intake, eat plenty of fruits &
veggies and stay well hydrated. Nutrition is commonly overlooked but is
directly correlated with tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health
concerns. Eat well and avoid tobacco products to keep your gums
strong and healthy.
Routine Checkups
Visiting the dentist every six months
supports long-term oral wellness. Beginning at the age of I, patients
should visit the dentist at least twice a year. Manassas Smiles is a
family-focused dentist office offering families compassionate and comprehensive dental
care. Our patients who stick to their six-month checkups and routine
professional teeth cleanings have lower rates of tooth decay, gum disease,
and tooth loss.
